    my husband's law school education (and still paying)

    baby related... accupunture to help me get and stay pregnant. (haven't bought anything else yet)

    binkies .. .specifically pink binkies. dd has a very specific preference - must be 1- pink and 2- NUK. too bad NUK doesn't have a 2 pk of pink ones. also our 2 yo jrt LOVE LOVE LOVES binkies too and has destroyed about a half dozen already.

    if anyone has a kid w/ a preference for yellow NUK binkies, let me know i've got TONS of them.

    i totally just splurged on his first "real" pair of shoes - and I will continue to as a pre-emptive strike against him having the same foot issues I've had.

    I too spent a fortune on car seats as DS grew much larger more quickly than I expected. Thankfully I sold 2 of the barely used ones!

    I also spent more than I expected on clothes for our big kid, and on milk!  Hmm, maybe that's the reason he's so big?

    I also totally wasted $$$ on his crib.  It was a close out of a designer crib and he literally never ever spent a night in it. And it is a dropside crib so we can't resell it.  It was the biggest waste for us by far.

    this too ..even though we went the generic store brand route .. store brand organic milk is STILL going to cost less than formula. i am SO EXCITED that we're on our last can !!  WHOO HOOO !!

    A hospital stay due to my hypermesis. I had only been on DH's insurance a few weeks when we got BFP and hadn't met my deductible. Yuck.

    clothes!!! I had no self control whatsoever for the first year or so of Emily's life!  We're loving our baby boy, but I'm still a little sad some of those adorable clothes won't be worn again in our house.

    our crib!  My husband really wanted one made of solid wood that had been greenguard certified.  I went along with it...it's beautiful but we definitely could have bought something cheaper!

    Yeah, I spent serious, serious money on things to get pregnant.  Like more than I've spent on DS in 2 years combined.  It was so not pretty.
