NBR: Bras?

I am quite embarrassed to post this, but I need recommendations.  I am one of those women who unfortunately suffer from "back fat."  Even when I was younger and thinner, I had it.

Can anyone recommend a GOOD, supportive bra that also hides back fat?

  • I read somewhere that back fat is caused by a bra that isn't the correct size. Either the band is too large and bunching, or too small and cutting in (I don't remember which).

Have you been fitted by a good bra person? If not, I'd try that first.

If you have ... I don't know. I wear Playtex bras, and I don't think the back fat is terrible, but I also think I'm likely in the wrong size because I've never been properly fitted myself. They are comfy though, and cheap, which is nice.

  • I'm plus sized and buy all my bras from Lane Bryant.  They are comfy and hold "the girls" up ...plus it smoothes back fat really well.  I think the type is called Barcelona or something?  They have like 5 different types...you just gotta go in, get sized, and try them all on to see which works for you.

  • I haven't gone regular bra shopping in over a year but I know Victoria's Secret made a couple styles that were seamless and did a really good job of not creating back fat bulges.  I want to say it was the Angels and Body collection.
