I EBF, nursing in the morning and evening/night, and pumping at work so DD gets BM in bottles while at day care. She takes the bottle well from everyone (DH, MIL, FIL, DCP, etc.). I have never tried to give her a bottle b/c I've read that some children will refuse it from the "real" source.
I haven't even had an opportunity to give her a bottle b/c I will usually pump during that time or if I'm around, I will nurse her. I'm just curious to know if others have successfully given their LO a bottle themselves.
Re: Do/did YOU give a bottle?
DS gets one bottle of pumped milk for is middle of the night feed which DH usually gives him while i pump. I did give it to him the other night and he took it from me ok, I did notice he doesn't open his mouth quite as wide for me as for DH and when i take it out to burp him he starts turning for my boob right away. But overall he took it fine, no problems.

I gave DD1 bottles because of supply issues.
DD2 would barely take a bottle from other people. I tired a few times when we were getting desperate to get her to take one and it was a no go. I think after 6 or 7 months she might have taken a bottle from me, but I never tried so I don't know.
When DD's weight was well below birthweight at 2 weeks, I nursed/supplemented/pumped. DH was back to work so I had to give her a bottle...she wasn't too excited about the idea. That process only lasted about a week until she started BFing better/gaining weight...I haven't tried giving her a bottle since.
