Well as most of you know Miller was born last Thursday, July 15 at 8:11am. He came in weighing 11lbs and 2oz. We're so in love with our bundle of joy!! I never imagined anything like this. It's so much more wonderful than I ever thought!!
Recovery has definitely been a little difficult. The csection itselt wasn't all that bad, nor the getting up and walking around. I had extreme swelling during my pregnancy and it got much worse afterwards. I had a fever in the hospital so they gave me antibiotics and more fluids so I began to swell even more. Then once I was released I had trouble breathing. So bad that I went back to the hospital and had all these tests run to make sure nothing was wrong like a blood clot, or heart failure. Thankfully everything came back fine. I couldn't even sleep lying down, nor walk short distances without stopping to catch my breath. So trying to heal from the surgery, then the swelling and the difficutly breathing has made my recovery a little slow. Today is the first day that I've actually felt good and I'm up and about doing things.
Ryan has been amazing through this whole process. He's been taking care of me and the baby and I know it's been enjoyable, yet hard on him too. He's been fixing bottles, changing diapers, doing late night feedings, etc.
Even with everything that went on, we've loved every minute of it. Miller is an excellent baby and he's got a hefty appetite. We're truly blessed.
