  Believe me, I know it's REALLY hard, but if I were you, I would wait until after your baby shower.  (If you're having one.)  We got a ton of clothes, some stuff he never even got to wear.  I wish now that I had waited until after my shower.

  Heck no - if the tech was certain....go out and buy some girl stuff!!!! When we found out we were having a boy - we went straight to the mall and dropped $500 in like 20 minutes! hahaha...but we bought his quilt and bedding from PBK, some nice clothes from baby Gap and PBK too.

  I wasn't having a big shower so I didn't count on getting everything we needed.

  With #2 - we went to Eastview (since we were in Roch for the weekend) and bought her PBK quilt and bedding and then went to Janie and Jack (ouch!)

  We used everything and it was really fun for me and DH.

  You don't have to go crazy - but go have fun!

  Not having a baby shower this is #2 for us...DS is 2 years old now.

  Go for it- but keep the tags/receipts!!

  (coming from the woman with a 2 month old wearing size 9 month. Was not expecting such a chunker! my 1st son wasn't this big)

  If you're not having a shower, I say go nuts! We bought DS's going home outfit the day of our big U/S and I think I bought something almost weekly after that

  The night we found out, DH and I went out and bought a few clothing items.   Some of which she never wore - oh well!  We had fun and I would totally run out again and buy cute clothes.

  when i was pg with Ethan I went the day after we  found out he was a boy and bought a bunch of clothing.  For Sophia I went and bought a baby book the day we found out.  My mom, aunts and grandma were patiently waiting to see what i was having both times so they could start shopping.
