My Update

Q and I made it down just fine.  He did a great job sleeping on the way (and I did a good job staying awake).

Mom's feeling better as they've gotten a lot of the fluid emptied out of her lungs but she still gets winded really easily and has to be on oxygen on and off.

Still waiting on the surgery to be scheduled but looks like it may be a double valve replacement and Q and I may stay a while to help her.

So far, the hospitals have been pretty accepting of Q, we're just taking it one day at a time.  Thanks for all your offers for sitters.
