Success after IF

if you read "Eat Pray Love"...(spoiler)

Did you like it?

Do you think first part of the book would be upsetting for someone going through IF?

I didn't care much for the book, but the movie doesn't look half bad and I might go see it.  I'm betting they downplay the whole having kids part in the movie too. They need time to focus on all sexy, shirtless men scenes...

  • I thought I was the only one who didn't like that book! Everyone I know raved about it, but I struggled to get through it and put it down and picked it back up several times.

I didn't know they were making a movie.

  • I could not even finish the book I thought it was so bad. My friend that loaned to me loved it though. The movie doesn't look half bad in the trailers. Maybe I'll see it on DVD (we never go to the theater anymore).

  • I liked the book OK. It didn't change my life or anything, but it was a fine read. I think I liked it more after the beginning.
  • I hated to book and had to force myself to finish it. I thought there was something wrong with me because everyone raved about it and I couldn't get into it at all! When I saw the movie previews I thought it looked cute. Could this be the first movie I like better than the book?? I agree I hope they foucs on the hot guys!

  • We read the book in book club.  I hated the book.  Like I hated it so much I had to create an Amazon account to review it and tell the world how much I hated it.  It was nonsense.  And the fact that she now has a second book called Committed about her second marriage makes me want to barf.

     Movie looks alright though LOL.

  • The book was so so for me. I really liked the Italy and Indonesia part but not the India section.  I didn't really pay attention to the kid stuff. I think the movie will be better and Julia will do a great job.

Hated the book but I love me a good Julia Roberts movie, so I'll probably watch it when it comes out on DVD.

  • I remember really enjoying it, though I must not have loved it that much because I can't remember anything about it (other than the fact that she went to three places, lol).  I read it before we were TTC, so I don't remember having a reaction to anything IF related.  Geez, I guess I need to read it again.
