Need road trip tips and suggestions...

Hi Ladies, 

 

DH and I have a road trip to South Carolina this week and I was just wondering if you had any tips on suggestions for me. I'm a little nervous about the drive up there just because its about a 12 hour drive and the fact that I go to the bathroom a lot more frequently now.

    I would say just enjoy it, drink lots of water and take lots of snacks and stop and pee when you feel like you need to!

    this!!!!!  Also, all your favorite cravings... you never know if you'll be able to find them on the road :)

     just make sure you stop and get out to walk around and pee so you stay comfortable!!  and ENJOY!  I miss road trips alone with DH... it was one of our favorite things to do :)

    I suggest getting a few books on tape / CD from the library.  There are a TON of interesting books and they speed the trip up.  It's better than fishing for radio stations or trying to read in the car incase you get a little motion sick now that you're pg.  I really like "Shades of Grey" by Jasper Fforde.  :)

    My OB always recommended walking every 2 hours to help prevent blood clots while traveling during pregnancy.  Ditto the others, great suggestions.

    i just did a road tript o SC this week...no tips on the road trip while being preggo...but if you take 17...there's a cute cider store that sells cider flavors like peach blackberry and cherry to name a few....free samples with a nice bathroom. also free samples on some of their food.
