Weird, not sure but I would say Ethiopian food which is basically mush and you have no idea what it is. And Dim Sum, which is a Chinese brunch, with my friends - we had no idea what we were ordering b/c the only English they could tell us was if it was chicken. The red bean paste bun tasted good but the more I ate it and looked inside the more it looked like poop so I gave up. Now I am married to my Chinese DH and I know what the stuff is and only eat the non-gross stuff. We did convince my step-daughter when she was 12 to try chicken's feet when she wanted to know what it was, she thought it tasted gross but when we told her what it was she was wiping her tongue with a napkin and looked like she could get sick, looking back it was very mean of us.

I'd have to say rattlesnake, alligator, dog (don't ask...we were in Japan...and it was by mistake!), and lots of conch (cooked and raw) when we were in the Bahamas. When I was little I ate a lot of pickled pigs feet, tripe soup and pickled herring.
We go to an Ethiopian restraurant quite often and the food is not mushy (at least not all of it). We really enjoy it.

I'm laughing that people think swordfish and shark are weird. We eat both often.
Frog legs was probably my weirdest. And I was told it was chicken. This was when I was about 10.
And dare I ask, what are Rocky Mtn oysters?
