Help for a Houston Nestie
DH wants to take a slew of family to dinner for LO's bday. Any recs for a family friendly casual place that would hold 40 folks or so?
The inlaws live on the west side of town- I'd rather stay away from that side.
I also need a bakery rec, it seems we have to have cake too. Two parties is a bit much for me, can you tell?

It IS on the west side of town, but the first place that comes to mind is Acadiana Cafe on Loop 410 north of Marbach. Casual, great food (southern/cajun) and can easily accommodate 40.

For cakes, I would either go with Lucy's (on the west side of town) or Nadler's (two locations, one near med center and one on the north side on Blanco inside Loop 1604)
