3rd Trimester
39 week appointment and some good news
I'm fully effaced and 1cm dilated, which is progress from last week's fingertip dilation. I don't know I tensed up when he was checking, could that make me seem less dilated? Perhaps, who knows? So we're seeing him on Monday (due date is this Saturday), he'll send me for a fetal monitoring test and we'll discuss induction. I expressed my concern about failed induction leading to c-section but he said that since I'm effaced fully my cervix is favorable and more likely to succeed. He actually said we'll induce you in the morning and my that afternoon/evening you should have your baby! Wow really? I'd be amazed if it works out that way! Just wanted to share. How are the rest of you "elders" doing? Good and patient I hope.

Thats great!!
I on the other hand am due sunday and as of monday I was only 70% effaced. Same as last week and the week before!
My doctor wants me back on Friday to see if there is any progress. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
At my last appointment (38w) I was 2 cm dialated. I had early labor start and stop already earlier this week, so I'm just (somewhat) patiently waiting for this little girl to make up her mind and decide when she wants to make her appearance!

Patience? What's that?
I have an appt to talk induction with my doc on Monday as well. She was talking about a July 29th induction last week, but I'm hoping I can talk her into something a little sooner....like Monday night or Tuesday morning?
