Not sure what to do.

I've taken 2 pregnancy test last week Friday and Saturday and they were both positive. I did miss my period which has never happened in my life. I do have symtoms the sore nips, the morning sickness that comes in the night, and as far as eating meat makes me gag, which is not at all norma for me at all. My biggest concern is my doctor is out of the country on vacation and i beleive she is coming back in this week but i cant get to see her till hopefully next week. Question is should i wait to see her or should i go to a family doctor just to verify everything is ok. I know i might just be paranoid but it is my first pregnancy.

    A lot of doctors won't even see you until you are 8 weeks, so you can totally wait and all will be well.  My first appointment is tomorrow and I'm just over 7 weeks.

    Congrats. There is no reason (from what I gather from your post) for you to need to rush to see a dr. All they'll do is make you pee in a cup and use practically the same test you used at home to confirm pregnancy.

    ETA: I mean, that's all my GP did. Also referred me for bloodwork. My first "real" appt. will be a midwife at 12+ weeks.

    Some docs won't even see you until the 8th week, and some at 6 weeks.  At this point, just call the office and check with them on their policy.  Schedule an appointment as soon as one is available, based on their policy.  Right now, just relax.    If you have any problems like excessive cramping and bleeding, then go to the ER or your family doc.

    I got my positive pregnancy test June 28th and still have not been to the doctor.  I would just call to make an appointment and they should be able to tell you when it would be best for you to get in.  It sounds like things are going pretty normal with your symptoms.  I would just try to relax and get through the days trying to feel well.

    I would wait as well. I am about the same as you time frame wise and I won't be going until the beginning of August.

    You'll be fine to wait until she can see you.  If you really need to see someone for peace of mind any Dr. should be able to verify a pregnancy.

    My dr is not seeing me until 10 weeks.  They're going to send me paperwork so I can get some blood work done before then.  I'm guessing if anything comes up abnormal they'll call me to come in earlier.

    It's pretty normal not to go to the doctor to get a pregnancy confirmation unless you need a referral. I got my BFP on June 23 and I won't go to the doctor until I'm 8w2d on July 27. Just call then to schedule your first appointment, but it might be anywhere from 6 weeks to 12 weeks.

    Thanks a lot a just put my mind at ease more than anything else. i did get an appointment for next week friday. Can't wait cause there gonna do an U/S. Let y'all know how that goes.
