OK ladies I need your creative(as in cheap) bday gift ideas!!! We will be in Hawaii for both Hani's (turning 4) and Matt's(turning 35) birthdays. Any help you can give would be great. I have so much crap running through my mind right now that I can't even come up with anything halfway thought through. It can be dinner, outing, gift, anything...Now their bdays are 4 days apart too. So together,... seperate doesn't matter. Hani said she wants to spend the day at the beach and have some balloons????
Not sure exactly what she's picturing but that's all I can get out of her. And DH says he doesn't want us to worry about his bday. Please! I gotta do something...HELP!!! PLEASE!!! TIA!

Re: Birthday Gift Help
Which island will you guys be on?
The only thing I can think of is to go with Hani's wish and spent the day at the beach and then maybe have balloons at dinner? Does Matt like the beach? If it's not his idea of a good time then maybe have the restaurant be more about him and go to his favorite place or cuisine for dinner? Especially with more ppl in the picture, it's sort of hard to coordinate something cheap other than the beach. You guys can bring your own stuff to play on the beach so it would be a free outing.
Sorry, I'm not too creative myself =P but GL!!
So jealous...you've been to Hawaii more times this past year...can you pack us in your suitcase? For real!
We MUST GTG before then! Seriously.
Now...for your birthday celebrations...here are my thoughts...
Balloons at the beach are not very eco-friendly, so I suggest a day a the beach....maybe with kites (if it's breezy enough)? And then, dinner somewhere kid-friendly and fun with a HUGE bunch of balloons at the table (perhaps tied to Hani's chair or one on each chair at the table and a bunch on her chair...). Another idea is to suprise her the morning of her bday with a bunch of balloons. I am assuming you're staying in a condo or hotel room. Send Matt out in the early morning to get the balloons (or maybe have them delivered) and have them in your condo or hotel room before Hani awakes. Then head to the beach for fun in the sun!
For Matt's bday...since you have grandma coming along, arrange for her to watch the kids one evening (tire them out at the beach that day) so you and Matt can have a romantic dinner for two somewhere nice and stroll along the beach either at sunset or afterwards...
Have a wonderful time! I love living vicariously through your pics on FB!
