Trying to Get Pregnant

I didn't know I was pregnant...

I know this show isn't new, but I just watched 3 episodes and am totally freaked out. How is the world do they find enough women to keep doing shows? Either there are some incredibly dumb people out there or this happens more often that anyone knows...oh man, I hope I'm not one of those people!

Re: I didn't know I was pregnant...

  • it actually happened to my friend.  She gained a little wait and people made rumors she might be pregnant but she said no.  Then at 8 months she popped out and totlaly looked preg. so they put her on bed rest.  She dranks and smoked through the whole pregnancy.  He's one now and healthy and happy.  Don't know how that worked out...

  • This show always makes me second guess my last period, lol.  I know it's pretty impossible, but for 2 seconds I can be hopeful, right?

  • It's on TLC right now. I'm watching it. Some of the stories are just nuts! It's part of my I want a baby obsession to watch a lot of tlc! It seems a lot of the women have irregular periods or are on bcp so they don't think being tired, sick, gaining weight, having pains are pregnancy related. I'm just glad out of all the episodes I've seen the mom and baby are healthy.
  • I hope we all have pregnancies as easy as these!  But of course knowing about them.

  • I'm always the odd one out who doesn't think it's that odd. I don't get AF at all without medical help, and I never had symptoms with DD. I did feel her kick, but with an anterior placenta they were always very small and could easily have been written off if I didn't think I was pg. I did get a belly, but if I had carried another way and didn't expect to be pg, I would not have guessed. Of course, because of this I'm super paranoid and test the first of the month every month when we're not TTC.
  • It happened with a girl i know, twice. Her hormones were extremely out of whack, and the way she explained it to me her levels were so low the doctors said it was almost impossible to get pregnant on their own. They were accepting the fact they couldn't get pregnant, but didn't go on BC or anything like that, and she wasn't feeling well for awhile, and she tested and got blood tests and they kept saying ,"you're not pregnant". Months went by and she finally decided she needed to get a second opinion, then they found out she was pregnant, but said she was only 3 months. Well, they were wrong, because she was about 8 months pregnant and shortly after she had an 8 pound baby boy. Its crazy. She had a little girl the same way, I have no idea how it happened twice, but it did. I can't figure it out.

  • That show made me paranoid! I took more than a few tests while I was on BC.
