Making "pitchers" of formula

I've heard people on the boards talk about this.  What do you make the formula in?  And how much do you make at one time?  I'm new to the whole formula game, but I'd love to not make individual bottles.  TIA

Re: Making "pitchers" of formula

  • I make 12 oz. (4 bottles) at a time in a big measuring cup.  I pour it into bottles right away and keep them in the fridge.

  • I bought a dr brown miximg pitcher & each night make formula for the next day.  It keeps in the fridge in bottles for 24 hours.

  • I make a pitcher of formula in the Dr. Brown's formula mixing pitcher as well. It can be stored per the formulas instructions (e.g. 24 hours in the fridge as PP stated). I contacted the manufacturer and they said it was okay to store the formula mixed right in the pitcher, there is no need to mix it and then put it into something else (just in case you were wondering). I usually just make 32 ounces of formula at a time (which is 1 unpacked level cup plus two unpacked level scoops and 29 ounces of water).
  • I use a 16 oz container and make 12 oz at one time. We pour it into bottles as needed.
