What is the highest dose of Femara you are/have took?

I take 7.5mg and as far as I know that is the max dose. Is this what you have been told? I respond to it but usually only 1 egg, sometimes 2.
I was just curious thinking maybe if I was able to up my dose, I would get a better response. I am a bit of a bigger girl too.

I'm not going to do it for sure, or without consulting RE, but I thought I would ask others here their experiences.

I was on Femara and they never told me what my dose was. I was shocked to hear you say there was a dose because they never said anything to me, not like when I was on clomid. I never got more than one eff on femara, my SIL one cycle got 2 and that is the cycle she conceived and had twins.

So I guess I was not much help... LOL Huh?

I took Femara for 2 cycles. Both times, I took 2.5 mg CD 3- 7. It worked on cycle #2.

I've never been told there is a maximum dosage. How many cycles have you tried 7.5 mg? You only get one follicle?

I have had a few unmonitored on 7.5mg and 3 monitored on 7.5mg. The 3 I had monitored were as followed:
Cycle 1- 1 follie, lining poor
Cycle 2- 2 follies, lining poor
Cycle 3-messed up due to other medication, so no follies, decent lining (8mm)

I can't remember what my lining was off the top of my head, but I think it's normal for your body to warm up to the idea of a medication like Femara. I also ovulated late, so I was in there 2x for a follie check.

I wonder if you would be a good candidate for a trigger shot along with the Femara. That might be a good option for you instead of increasing the Femara by itself. It may give you just the boost you need to get some follicles going.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention the 2 cycles I had follies I did do a trigger. I loved knowing exactly when it is released!

Could you switch to injectables, which would produce more follies?

I have only ever done 2.5mg. I responded both times.

Hopefully yall get get the dosage figured out. I do know that if I am not pregnant this time we will move on to injects even though I am responding. RE doesn't like to stay with any med too long if I am not getting pregnant.

Are injects and option for you?

I can't afford injects (all oop) without saving up for months and I'm too impatient for that.
