Baby swing making horrible noises. WD-40???

My baby swing makes a terrible creaking noise when in motion. Doesn't seem to bother the baby. Noise might actually be good white noise for him. But its about to drive me insane. It's 3 years old and we used it for our first and a friend borrowed it for her baby for about 3 months last year. So its had good use. I'm not surprised its creaking especially since my older son was a chunky baby and loved the swing till he was over the weight limit!

Anyway, do you think WD-40 will work if sprayed on it? Of course we will use it without the baby near the swing and the swing part where he sits covered with plastic or something. It is the Fisher Price Papasan Cradle Swing.

    My brand new FP swing does the same thing.  Adjusting the legs helps, but then it wobbles itself back into squeaky position.  It's very frustrating.

    I've got the same swing and it creeks too.  DH did put WD-40 on it and it worked or a few days.  Creek is back now.  We will try again, but I hope we dont have to keep doing it every few days.  GL!
