Mine will be in January, December is just too full of Christmas/Holiday parties and trying to fit a shower in would be close to impossible. I want to try and aim for the second week of January but we'll see if that happens.

Because this is our 2nd, i will not be having a big shower like we did with DD. We will probably just have a small get together with family and close friends probably in Jan or Feb.

My shower will be in December (Christmas break for teachers) because it's 2 hours away.

My work shower will probably be in Late Janaury.

Mine will be in February. DD, DH, FIL, SIL all have January Birthday's so our January is pretty busy as it is.

I will not be having one as this is my second, but just wanted to let you know that my DD was born March 12 and I had my shower January 15ish. IMO it was the perfect time...you're nice and pregnant, but not yet really uncomfortable or going to pop any second! We're having a shower for my SIL on August 15 and she is due September 1....that's kind of pushing it as far as her comfort, but still ok as she is feeling good...and besides, she picked the date...silly girl!

Anywho...my vote would be January for you! Good luck!

I can't deny it....the timing of a shower for a March baby absolutely sucks.

My family is spread all over the place, so i know I will have a crap shower camped onto a family Christmas party...at a nursing home. It is my mom's cheap/lazy style.

Selfish? Yes definitely. But I HATED my bridal showers and I was forced to have one on each side of the family. I was hoping we could combine for the baby shower and make it a bit easier.

Other problem - my mom is totally into the guys and girls showers all of a sudden. BLAH. I don't like showers, and I know my husband doesn't - so why would I put him through the misery.

I wouldn't mind a February baby shower. My birthday is in February and I have a week off that month....hopefully I won't be too huge!

I have to have mine in October because we're moving to Germany the first week in November. We're just going to register for all the neutral items at that time and not worry about gender specific items. If I had an option, I'd prefer to have the shower the first week of January, but that's out for me.

I'll have one whenever someone wants to throw one for me. I think the normal practice around these parts is to have a shower after baby is born. But I wouldn't be worried about being too uncomfortable to have a shower in January.

Late Jan or early Feb. I don't really want a fru-fru baby shower - I'd rather have a pool party or bbq and let all the kids come, serve beer, grill hot dogs, whatever. But it's too cold for that, even in Florida. So I guess I'll just go along with whatever my SIL and BFF want to do for me. But we are saying late Jan/early Feb when I'm between 33-35 weeks.

Not sure who will thow mine since our family is everywhere BUT I figured January would be perfect and I think that a great theme for that time of year would be a "winter wonderland" depending on the sex....say a boy I would do silver, white and blue and if it's a girl I would do purple, silver and white.

I figured hot foods with hot chocolate and cider would be a nice treat, I actually stole the idea off the internet and even found some cute baby shower cards to go with the theme too.

Ours will be Thanksgiving weekend. We live in CA and all of our family is on the east coast. Since I teach, I can't take the time off to travel and will be too far along come the Christmas holiday. I wasn't even sure how we were going to have a shower but my Mom and my Aunts came up with their own idea.....they are throwing me an internet shower. Mom and Dad will be here for Thanksgiving and will video tape everything to share with my family back home. We do have friends here that will be joining us also

I'm hoping for late-January, but we'll see who's hosting and when they want to host it! Thankfully, our families are fairly close.

I don't know if anyone is planning on throwing me a shower. Especially since I JUST got married two months ago and had a bridal shower. I don't want to look ungrateful or greedy or anything so I'm just in the boat of if someone throws me one then I'm eternally grateful but I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch.

I'm clearly not in the norm. I can't stand showers-being the center of attention is embarrassing for me. I skipped a bridal shower, refused to have one-people at work got us a gift card for Home Depot as they knew we were fixing up our house. It was perfect.

I guess in this case, the shower really is for the baby, so it's less embarrassing, but still...my family is so spread out, as our my close friends, so I doubt I feel close enough to people in my area to invite anyone.

I'm shy! Kudos to you girls for not being so!

I won't be having one with my second but with my first I was about 7 weeks ahead of my due date. My suggestion where comfy shoes:) Have fun!

I'm guessing early to mid-February, since my due date isn't until March 23rd.
