Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Probiotics?

Do you give your LO probiotics on a regular basis? I was reading something somewhere (I can't remember where now, or find the e-mail) that babies should be given probiotics on a daily basis, something to do with promoting healthy bacteria and some other things. Does anyone do this? We gave S probiotics a few weeks ago when she was on amoxil for an ear infection, but not since she's been finished the antibiotics. Just curious!

  • We are using the target formula that contains probiotics.

  • We give DS probiotics once a day in his bottle. We started it when he was on antibiotics and just continued it after. It seems to regulate his bowel movements, which is helpful too. This is what we use from the Vitamin Shop:

  • There are probiotics in Mountain High yogurt. Which LO loves! I get the whole milk kind in plain and mix in my home made preserves. So I can control the suger content. A little plum jam makes for smooth sailing! If you know what I mean! ;)

  • There are also probiotics in Happy Baby's yogurt melts, that is how we give is to DS. I haven't seen them in stores, but I got them from Diapers.com
