Ugh, are all maternity jeans "skinny"? Where have you found relaxed fit jeans? At Gap and Old Navy, the larger sizes were too big for my butt/hips, but I still couldn't squeeze my fat thighs into them. It seems like they are all slim fit. I hated skinny jeans when I wasn't pregnant, so I sure as hell don't want to wear them now!
For other people built like me - where have you found good jeans?
Re: Can't find maternity jeans because my legs are too fat!
Story of my life! I found some stuff at Kohl's that fits me ok. I had to get large size so it fits over my thighs. (they run S, M, L instead of # sizes) Motherhood Maternity fits ok, but I actually hate stretchy jeans because they hug my thighs too much. GL!

Have you tried the ones at the Gap with the adjustable back panel? They have this hidden elastic tab inside the back that has a million button holes so you can tighten the waist. They're the real waist under the belly kind. These are the ones I got:

I just bought a pair of uMaMe wide leg jeans, I love them! They sit just below my bump, but they aren't super low. It took me a while to find a wide leg jean!
GL!
Those look great! When I went to the GAP, all they had in the maternity section were the bootcut and some other slim fitting style. I generally love the "essential collection" straight leg jeans from GAP, and I'm still wearing them (although they are getting too snug). I was hoping to find a maternity version of them but they didn't exist in the store. I may have to gamble and order these without trying them on. For $30 it's worth the risk!
I had the same problem at Gap and Old Navy.
Went to Macy's - to A Pea in the Pod.
Expensive, but worth it!

Update - I went to A Pea in the Pod / Motherhood Maternity on my lunch break. The stretchy MM jeans fit, but they weren't terribly flattering. I had to go the designer route. All the designer jeans they were selling were skinny or boot cut (and expensive). Luckily, I found a PERFECT pair of straight leg jeans in the sale rack (apparently last season pregnant women were allowed to have thighs) marked down to $49 (originally $98). Score! The brand is Mavi. I love them so much that I may have to look into the brand after I have the baby.
Thanks everyone for your help!
Mavi makes maternity?? I wish you hadn't said that. They are the only jeans I normally wear, but I never though to see if they had maternity. Their stuff works really well for ladies with bigger legs.
Off to find maternity Mavis....
Hehe... sorry! You have to check out A Pea in the Pod. They have a bunch of maternity versions of designer jeans. (7 for All Mankind, Lucky, Joe's, etc.) Maybe you'll get lucky on the sale rack too.
