I'm on a monitored Clomid cycle. I will give myself the trigger shot. I don't think I want to fool with temping. Any reason I might absolutely need to?

I didn't trigger with any of my Clomid rounds, but for me, Clomid doesn't guarantee that I'll ovulate when I should. On two rounds of Clomid I ovulated a week late...and wouldn't have known if I wasn't temping.
does monitoring = u/s and follie checks to let you know when you're about to O and if you did O??
I know that temps on clomid aren't 'as' reliable as when not on clomid but it's still advised to temp.
If you're not concerned about confirming O yourself and you really aren't wanting to chart, I can't see the harm in forgoing charting, especially if you have sex e/o/d and your doctor is confirming what's going on.
if it doesn't and is just part of your day - I would. only b/c during my med/IUI rounds ( I wasn't charting when I just did femara) temping was useful as a comparison especially for knowing about AF arriving.
and if for whatever reasons this round of Clomid doesn't work (and I sure hope it does for you) it is good gauge for the future.
if it drives you nuts though, don't.
m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks).
and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers).
IUI#1 and #2: BFNs

Thanks, everyone! I'll try to get back in the habit of temping again. As far as monitoring--I did an u/s on CD3 and will do another on CD13 to see if I need to trigger. I guess if I don't trigger I'll really be glad I'm back in the routine of temping. They don't do an u/s to confirm that O happened.

Re: Not Sure If I Want to Bother Temping
Hmmm, it's tough.

But if your triggering it should be more certain.
Either way, good luck hon!
