I escaped!

DS and I had a full day today.  Prepared and served breakfast, lunch, and dinner, dishes in dishwasher, washed big pans by hand, cooked part 1 of lasagna (part two will be cooked tomorrow), cleared out the kitchen to sweep AND mop, did DS's academic lesson, styled my hair, got DS dressed, Target, Dollar Tree, nap time, swingset in the backyard, and a stroller ride around the neighborhood.

Around 6:15 pm DH was on the treadmill (located in the living room---that's another story!) and I politely pulled DS in his booster seat chair to the living room and turned on the tv.  I then told DH that I was stepping out to go to the beach (10 minutes away) and then I grabbed my reading materials and left!

I needed a break and came back an hour later feeling great.

    Good for you!!! What a difference an hour makes! Too often we moms don't allow ourself enough time to do stuff like this. Glad you did!

    That's great!  And I'm extremely jealous that you live so close to the beach.  I would love to be able to head to the water to relax once in a while.  :-)
