I don't like water, but I know I need to drink it. So I am looking for ideas. Right now I am going through a phase where I am addicted to the sparkling flavored water beverage or whatever it is but I know that has aspartame or something similar. I like the Aquafina flavored water but I know that has aspartame or something in it too. Most of the little drink pouches have the aspartame crap and the thought of just using lemon juice doesn't really appeal to me. So should I just get over the whole aspartame thing or are there other options out there?

I'm not a water fan either. I find the colder it is, the easier it is to drink. This meant I had to rearrange my freezer to fit ice trays. Also, after drinking ice cold water for a couple days, it really hasn't been as bad as initially and am finding if I drink almost any other thing (tea, pop, coffee, lemonade, etc) I get even more thirsty and need a glass of ice water. It's all about forming new habits. g'luck.

You could try slicing up oranges, lemons or limes and letting them soak in a pitcher of ice water. It adds a little flavor, but no artificial sweetener. I've also seen cucumbers used (sounds weird, but isn't too bad!).
I've gotten over the artificial sweetener thing now that I'm this far along. It is in so many things (think yogurt as an example) that it's hard to avoid. I'm now drinking Powerade Zero, which has sucralose (splenda) in it because sometimes you just need something other than water.
This. Plus I find drinking through a straw helps plain water go down faster and easier.
I make batches of unsweetened iced tea using tea bags and add Truvia to it. Truvia is a natural sweetener without aspartame or sucralose.
I also drink Club Soda and a fresh lime slice. Yum!
^This! I add fruit juice in small amounts to my water all the time and it is fun to mix juices up. Right now I have apple, pineapple, orange and cranberry juice in the fridge and I add a splash - enough to give it a little flavor - now and then. This is how I give "juice" to DS, too. Lots of water and just a little juice.
This! I have gotten to the point where I've had so much water that I almost can't stand it anymore. I started brewing a gallon of decaf tea and I use Splenda instead of Truvia but same difference...they are both made from real sugar so my doc OK'ed it. It also seems to help if I keep it really cold and use a straw. I have no idea why but I seem to drink a lot more throughout the day when I do this. I actually re-use the large Chick-fil-a cups...they are styrofoam so they stay cold and the cup doesn't sweat all over my desk.
I also agree with the poster who said to add some watermelon to your diet. I've been eating that stuff like crazy! It tastes great this time of year and has a ton of water in it. Just a thought
I also hate drinking water, but have found that certain water sources taste better to me than others. The filtered water from our fridge is AWFUL, but the tap water at work tastes ok.
Another thing you could add to give the water a little flavor is fresh mint. Throw a couple sprigs in a pitcher of ice water. The longer it sits the better it gets!
I have become addicted to ice cubes. I only fill the trays up half way so they are bite sized pieces. I find I go through 4-6 trays a day.
I also add a splash of fruit juice to a glass of water.
