Really really weird question

So I totally deserve getting made fun of for this.  

I just drank a crap ton of soap. I filled my aluminum water bottle with water and chugged it. About half way through I realized it tasted funny and stopped......and bubbles started coming out the top. I rinsed it and there was a ton of soap in there. I think my inlaws were trying to help by cleaning it, and got distracted and never rinsed it out.

 

Yes, I realize I'm an idiot.

 

On the back of the soap, it says "if swallowed, dilute by drinking a glass of water." I did that. I still feel a bit queasy (sp?)

So, my question, on top of this ridiculous confesion, is do you think its ok to BF? I realize I"m probably worrying over nothing, but I figured I'd ask. I'm basically looking more for reassurance than anything else.

    I think you're fine. At first when I read that you drank a crap-ton of soap I thought you meant you willingly drank that, LOL. 

    But yea, I think as long as you're feeling okay you should be fine.

    oh no!  yuck!

    i think you can get diarrhea from ingesting soap, so be careful.  you don't want to get dehydrated.  i would drink lots of water.

    Call your local Poison Control. I call mine all the time for anything from DS getting into hand sanitizer to getting stung by a bee. They'll let you know what can happen to you and if you can BF. (If you fart bubbles, I want a picture!)

    I bet you're fine. If it's okay to BF while sick, and if you get food poisoning, then I doubt that some soap is going to have a worse affect on your system than that.  

    Did the bottle say anything about calling poison control if ingested? If all it said was to drink some water, then I would worry more about an upset stomach than any affect on BFing! :)

    i'd be pretty mad at my in-laws for soaping up my water bottle like that...  even though it was unintentional

    keep us posted - i really want to know what your pedi uncle says about this.

    I just laughed so hard I work LO up while she is nursing to fall back asleep.  Fart bubbles.

    I was going to suggest poison control.  They are great.  I have had to call them several times myself.
