Follow up - Pampers Dry Max

Hi Ladies!

After taking Tori to the doctor, her poor little tushi is infected from the burn that she got from the pampers!

They have put her on amoxacilin (spelling !!) and a steroid ointment cream to dry up the rash/burn.  I did call and file a complaint with Pampers and they have offered to send me 2 coupons for the jumbo pack of diapers for free.  I still haven't decided yet if I am going to use them or not.  I did like the regular pampers, just thought I would give the dry max a try!

Re: Follow up - Pampers Dry Max

  • awww...hope she is feeling better soon!  it's because of all the reports from ladies on the bump that I have not and do not plan to try the dry max!

  • Aw your poor baby! That's so sad. I think I might stop using mine. I don't want to take that chance.

  • Depending on the size your LO is in, some stores still have old packages without the dry max. Otherwise, can you use the coupons on Baby Dry?

  • I plan on calling them tomorrow...Adi got a bad rash too, and we bought the BIG pack, from sams club. Don't know if they will return an open box...

  • I'm sorry you are experiencing this.  I wondered if this was still an issue because I am running out of the the old swaddlers that I bought before they introduced dry max.  I guess I will try the baby dry or try a generic brand.

Yes, you can use the coupons on Baby Dry.  The coupons they are sending will have her name printed on them and say they are good for up to 19.99 for any Pampers diapers product.

  • Make sure you keep the doctor records. theyll send you a paper to fill out explaining the burn and they ask that you proved the record of the doctor saying that is what it is. I didn't take my LO, I should have, but I didn't put 2 and 2 together and just stopped using the diapers. So they pretty much told me I wasn't changing DD enough and it was my fault... She was a month old at the time... I changed her diapers pretty frequently. I used my coupons for the pampers sensitive but now that ive used the coupons im done with pampers until they realize they need to change back to the old ones. BTW they are eventually putting dry max in all the pampers diapers.

  • Oh, and baby dry has dry max in them. the sensitive are the only ones that dont have it, and that's what they send the coupon for.

  • All of the boxes of Baby Dry I have seen have not had Dry Max in them.. Maybe it is something new??  If so I will stop using them when I run out of the plain ones.

  • Pampers told me sensitive were the only ones without dry max for now. Baby dry is just another name for dry max. Eventually all pampers will have dry max though. I cannot believe pampers is telling parents it's their fault! Saying those effected aren't changing their baby enough. the only diaper rash my baby has ever gotten was a chemical burn from the drymax! she was a month old and I changed her every hour, 2 hours max and put diaper cream on her every change. After the burn, I switched to store brand and miraculously the rash never came back! She even started to sleep through the night. SO she goes anywhere between 10-12 hours at night without a change and still no rash ::knocks on wood:: I put her in the sensitive when I got the coupons from pampers and she was fine. So it wasn't the brand, it was the dry max. But i refuse to buy pampers now because of how dumb pampers is being. And what gets me, is instead of changing the pampers back, they made designer pampers ($14.00 for 24! I can spend $20 on over 100 up&up diapers!!) They think that will reel customers in. But theyre wasting time and money because as long as there's dry max, I know I sure as heIl won't be going back to pampers!

I find that funny *not you, but pampers representatives*  because I was told by the rep on the phone when we called about the burn that the Baby Dry and Sensitive do not and would not have the Dry Max.    Maybe they are just telling everyone what ever the feel like saying.

this is no longer true - all new boxes of swaddlers sensitive do have Dry Max in them. you may still find old boxes without dry max in some stores, but the new ones have it. The only difference between regular swaddlers and sensitive is that sensitive ones have lots of lotions in them, that's all (i talked to Pampers Cust. Service about this, that's how they explained it to me)

Wow! I didn't know they would do it that soon! Do the boxes say dry max on it?

Yes, the new ones do.  I looked yesterday.  I did purchase a box of the cruisers, but I"m watching DD like a hawk now.  We'll see what happens.  How fast did you notice a reaction if you used them?

  • Thanks for the follow up advice/ tips ladies!  She has shown a lot of improvement with in under 24 hours of using her prescription cream!  I will be sure to keep the doctors records to send in if requested!  In my honest opinion, if you start to notice any red rash at all I would immediatley quit using the diapers with dry max, that is how our situation started!
