Blood test question...

How long until I can call and ask for my results? They took a vial at about 10:30 this morning. The nurse said someone would call me in the next couple days.

A couple days? Really? <pout>

Waiting sucks so bad. I didn't think I'd care that much about the blood test, but now that it's out there, I do. I want to call home and check the answering machine but I don't know how to do that. I'm totally planning on calling tomorrow morning. They should be ready by then, right?

    I just had my blood test this afternoon and they said either tomorrow or the next day. Waiting sucks, I agree!

    In my regular OBGyn's office, I usually get my results next day.  In my RE's office, I get them same day.

    And yeah... the waiting?  Big thumbs down!

    Ugh- I know. Totally annoying. I just did this last week- and called them every 2 hours to check- but they had nothing for a whole day (draw was at 4:30, nothing the next day, finally got the call the following morning). I'm sure I was totally bugging them - I had to leave a msg for the med assistant every single time. "hi, it's me again, any results??"

    Phew, thanks ladies. I thought most people were getting the results AT their appointments, and was wondering why mine would take days. I guess 24 hours is normal-ish? I'll try to hold off until tomorrow afternoon. :)

    I go to the lab one hour prior to my appointment, and then get the results at my appointment.
