Pregnant with a negative urine test?

I'm curious if any of you ladies had a negative urine pregnancy result early on (but after your period due date) but ended up being pregnant?? If yes, when did you end up with a positive result?
Im asking is because I am late for my period but keep testing negative. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant with baby #2 for quite awhile. Normally my period is on time to the day. Im only 3 days late for my period but Im convinced that Im pregnant regardless of the negative result. I know that the tests they have now are super sensitive but this is unusual for me to be late, even for only 3 days. Did this happen to anyone or am I just wishful thinking?

Yep, happened to me this time. My period is normally right on time, so I tested the day of my missed period and got a BFN. It wasn't until five days later that I finally got a positive on a digital and two days after that the line on a regular HPT test was dark enough for me to be sure. I even had a negative urine test at the doc's office on day five. That month, I had had a really stressful week leading up to when I normally ovulate. I'm guessing that I ovulated just about a week later than normal.

No, I wasnt charting. I just know when my period is due and every since I started my period its been like clock work. The only time I was late was when I was pregnant with my son. Since I am only 3 days late my period could just be late and Im not pregnant at all. Given my past history it is very odd for me to be late but never say never right? Im just hoping that the test is wrong and I am pregnant...... only time will tell. Hope there is still a possibility.
It was the same with my first, so I was shocked when my period was a no show and I kept getting negatives this time. Like I said, I think I ovulated later because of stress. Even if your periods are like clockwork, you could have an off month where you ovulated late. That would cause a later BFP or a later period. Your HCG levels are based on when fertilization happened, but you can't have a fertilized egg until you ovulate. Early HPTs can detect HCG levels at 10 DPO. So, if you ovulated late, you may not be 10 DPO yet. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you're going to get a late BFP!
I would just retest every few days or so until you get your answer. Good luck!

I had a sort of similar thing:
Took a test on Saturday afternoon (2 days b/f AF) b/c I was going to a wedding that night and "felt" like I could be pregnant and planned on drinking (even though I was on birth control, I was nervous about some antibiotics I was on earlier that month) I used the one that says you can get readings up to 6 days b/f your missed period. It was negative.
AF was due Monday.
Tested Tuesday and Wednesday - negative. Tested Thursday night and decided if it was negative, then I was just being neurotic. That one turned out positive. Had blood work done that Friday and my HCG levels were at 184 that morning.
The hpt are good, and when they're positive, they're pretty positive, but I would wait a few days and try again. Especially if your gut tells you something's up.
