I thought Pertussis was a nearly dead disease, yet I am seeing commercials to get your baby vaccinated. Could this be because those that dont vaccinate are rejuvenating the disease? Not being snarky its a serious question.

I asked my pedi this (because that commercial gave me nightmares) and he said yes, a lot of diseases that were once "dead" are coming back because of people choosing to not get their babies vaccinated.
I am not for or against vaccinations, but if the risks outweigh then I'm not stupid either... I'm getting my baby vaccinated. Apparently there has been outbreaks of Rebela on the West coast due to nonvaccinations as well.

It's common because you have to get a booster for it and lots of people don't get the booster. Also, a lot of adults have it and don't realize it, because mild cases can be just a persistent cough with no other symptoms so it is spread very easily.
