I am so p!ssed right now! I was supposed to go in for my SHG this morning, and we get to the office and the ultrasound tech calls me back to tell me that they didn't schedule a doctor to do the procedure, just her, so we need to reschedule! FML!
I have had soooo many problems with this doctor/office since my miscarriage. I.AM.DONE. I requested my medical records and I am never going back there!!! I have a "follow up" appointment tomorrow for my SHG, that never happened, and I didn't even bother to cancel it. If they call me to remind me of the appointment, I'm not even telling them I'm not coming.
So here's the scoop:
Dr kept me awake during my d&c--seriously. I had no idea that was going to be that way, or I would of demanded it. It's bad enough my baby died, but I started naturally m/c before the d&c and had horrible pain, but then to keep me awake and "numb" me....yeah right, I felt it all.
I said I wanted the fetal tissue tested, she said okay, and then at follow-up appt, she said they didn't even try b/c it was too early. We didn't care about that or the cost! Even if it came back that they couldn't find anything, at least we tried! Errr...
She told me to schedule an appt if AF hadn't shown in 6 wks. She failed to put that in my chart, so I got the run around from the receptionist and nurse and by the time they called me back, we discovered the dr was on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks.
We did an RPL and they had the lab tech call me back, yes a lab tech who doesn't know what the eff she is talking about. She left a message b/c I was at work and said they called in a Rx of 4mg FA. And that's it--nothing about what they found. Of course she called on a Fri evening so I had to wait all weekend before I could return the call. Then when I did, she just said MTHFR, didn't know what kind and I said I wanted more info. She called back 3 days later and finally told me what kind of MTHFR I had, and that I needed to make an appt to ask questions. Of course, the dr didn't put that in the chart either, so I got the runaround on that appt also. Never got to talk to her about it, because I haven't seen her yet!
Started my period, finally, after 61 days. Called on CD1 to schedule SHG, she again, didn't put it in the chart, so 2 days later, got a call back and they said they needed to schedule it for today and tomorrow. DH and I had to use sick days and take time off work. Not to mention the effing u/s tech today was the same one that during my pg told me everything looks great! You just ovulated late! No worries! Yeah, keeping your fvcking mouth shut!
Sorry so long, but I am sooo pissed now. And now we think we found another doctor, but there is no way he will just give me a SHG without an appt first and I want to wait for my medical records...so I guess if I don't get KU this cycle, we will try for next cycle.

This exactly. He needs to be stripped of everything, that is NO way to run a practice. I'm sorry you're dealing with this, and glad you're moving on to someone else.

Oh my - how horrible! I'm so sorry you are going through so much BS with your doctor. I'm also sorry you didn't end up getting the procedure done.
I'm glad you are in a position to change doctors though - I hope everything goes well with the new one.

OMG! How terrible! I'm so sorry you are getting the run-around on top of everything else.
Side note: Can you also give that info to your OB or whoever referred you. They need to know what kind of RE referrals they are handing out! (That is assuming you were referred and your OB is not the RE, etc.)
Yea, I would say you have been more than patient with this office. When going through this having a medical team that is empathetic and compassionate is IMPORTANT, which this office clearly lacks.

I am truly sorry for what you have gone through, and I hope that your new doctor is much more on top of things. It also sounds like her front desk staff is hopeless, and her ultrasound technician should have kept her mouth shut and not made any pronouncements that she is not qualified to make. Hopefully, at the next place you go to, you get much better treatment.
Although your doc should have made the fetal tissue available to you for testing, keep in mind that in the vast majority of miscarriages and neonatal deaths, unfortunately, pathology generally does not come up with clear reasons for the death of the child, so chances are, that wouldn't have given you the answers you were hoping to find.
I?m so sorry you had to deal with all that, I can?t imagine how frustrated you are. I probably would?ve b*tched out the nurses and receptionists, but you?re clearly a nicer person than me :-) I really hope you find a better doctor soon who can help you and give you all the answers you deserve to know!

Ugh. I'm frustrated for you. Maybe do the SHG, request the records, and then get thee to another practioner.
I'm in the process of "breaking up" with my RE, and gathering as many records as I can.

I'm so sorry, Shanna. I changed drs after the way they handled my m/c, so I know a little of what you're going through. After meeting with my new dr, they have the ball rolling where it needs to be now. I hope your new doctor will do the same. The waiting part sucks, though.

She was just my OB, I didn't get referred to her by anyone...I just chose her based off of insurance and location. I'm doing more research for the next one
Oh, I know, but I do know of some women from the bump that had early m/c and were able to get testing. I knew there might be a chance I couldn't, but I wanted them to at least try.

That all made me so mad for you! I can't believe your Dr and their practice. I would get in with your new Dr asap and explain everything to them. Hopefully they'll do testing and get some answers.
I would be writing a letter to the BBB ( Is that for Dr's too?) or someone to complain about your current Dr. That is horrible, and to keep you awake during your D&C?! WTF that's messed up. ((HUGS))
