Say I am not the only one! DD has never once slept more then 4 hours in a row. She is 14 months. I define STTN as 8 hours lol! Anyone else not remember what is it like not to get up a few times a night?
I could count on one hand the number of times I got 5 or more consecutive hours of sleep before DD hit 16 months. She sleeps for 10 hours straight now, and it is wonderful. Hopefully you start getting more sleep soon!
Our DS slept 6-7 hours from about 3-4 months. Then we stopped swaddling and he started crawling around 6 months and it was HELL (at least up 3x and often as many as 8x) until about 12 months when we used Dr. Jay Gordon's method as well.
It took us a few times to work through it, we'd get him sleeping better and then he'd get a cold or we'd travel. Now, its not perfect, but he sleeps from when we put him down (830-9) until around 5am. Several times a week he still gets up somewhere between 2-4, but I can go in and pat his back and he's out again in a matter of minutes. Much better than the hours and hours of awake time it used to be!
It helps to know I'm not the only one. My DH keeps saying, "it will get better by the time she's 2, if not then 3, if not then 4" At least we know when they are teenagers we will have to wake them up lol! I am not BF anymore but we co sleep and that has helped alot! It is amazing how you adjust to less sleep. Saturday night DD spent the night with my sister and we slept 10 hours straight - that was awesome lol!
Re: Anyone else's LO has never once STTN?
That was us until 13 months. This was what eventually saved me:

There is hope! Hang in there!
