Minnesota Babies

Maple Grove Hospital

I am going to be giving birth at the Maple Grove Hospital. Has anyone had and experiences there, or just some general information. Thanks.

Re: Maple Grove Hospital

  • I did not deliver there but I recently went to visit a friend who had a baby and I was really impressed by the facility!  It was SO quiet...we went on a weeknight and there was barely anyone around!  I know she said the doors/rooms are all insulated so that's another reason why it was so quiet.  The rooms were nice, great TV, and nice couch in the room for your DH/family.  When I was there, the new mom ordered her dinner on the phone from menus and it came promptly... Overall, I was impressed!

  • I delivered there and it was great. It was very quiet, granted it was the first month they were open but my nephew was born there at the end of April and it was still very quiet. The nurse staff is very nice and will get whatever you need. The food is actually really good, try chicken strips if you like those normally. They have so many options for each mealtime and if you don't remember to call they will call you to make sure that you get your meal. It was overall a great experience and I wouldn't want to deliver anywhere else.

  • I delivered there and LOVED it. The rooms are really nice and comfy, not to mention DH loved the tv and on demand movies. The nurses were awesome. I pretty much saw the entire nurses rotation because my induction took a bit longer than planed. They were there for my every need before, during and after. The food was good too and I really liked the room service aspect of it. Over all, I can't wait to have another kid so that we can deliver there.

  • I delivered there in Feb. and it was wonderful.  The facility is amazing, the staff were great and the food was really good, too!  :)  My one thing that you could take as a complaint or an advantage is that the nursing staff were hardly in my room at all.  Since it was my 2nd child, I didn't mind it all that much but with my 1st (at North Memorial) I remember being checked on and monitored A LOT more.  Overall, we were very happy....good luck!  :)
