First Doc appt at 12 weeks?

Anybody else have to wait 12 weeks for their first doctors appointment? I was really hoping for a little sooner, I't not until September 14th! I did a lot of research on my doctor & he gets great reviews.I loved him at my annual. I even refered my best friend to him when her doc moved out of state in the middle of her pregnancy & she loves him too. I trust him, I just don't want to wait. When is your first appointment?

I'll be 9 weeks when I go in for mine...August 18th.

I have my first ultrasound at 5 1/2 weeks, but that's because I'm seeing an RE and I'm high risk for another ectopic. I'm not sure when my RE will release me, so I don't know whem my first OB appointment will be. With DS I had my first appointment at 6 weeks, but not much happened. They went over our choices as far as testing goes and did a pap because I was due. Other than that they didn't do much.

My first appt is at just about 7 weeks. I think every dr is different though. I am hating the anticipation for mine as well. It is Aug 3.

I'm in the same boat.

I have an appointment with a nurse at 10 weeks but I don't meet with my OB until 12 weeks. It's going to be such a long wait!

Technically my first appointment is at 9 weeks, but it's just for medical history. I don't actually get seen until somewhere between 10 and 12. Seems a little strange to me too, but I hear it's fairly normal.

I'm having my first appt around 9-10 weeks Aug 23, they are sending me for some blood work ahead of time though.

I'll be about 11 weeks when I have my first appointment on August 17th. The midwives said I had an "uneventful" pregnancy last time and unless complications arise before my appointment I won't be seen until then.

My first appt and u/s sound were at 7 weeks.

My next few are:

2nd appt - 10 weeks

Sequential Screening - 11.5 weeks

3rd appt 14 - weeks

If you plan to have the sequential screening it needs to be between the 11th and 12th week, so it is off that your dr wouldn't even see you before then.

With DD my first appt wasn't until 12wks as well. This time I changed OBG's and she wants to see me between 7-9wks however she is booked till I'm 10wks. So, my appt isn't till Aug 31st. I guess it's sooner then the first time. Every doctor is different.

Nope. My OB's office had me come in right away for a confirmation appointment. They had me fill out a medical/family history form and get bloodwork done. I go back next week for an ultrasound, and then my first "real" appointment will be around 10 weeks.

I had my BFP Thursday the 15th and I have an appointment tomorrow to confirm and to get blood work taken. I assume that I will schedule my next appointment then.

I won't be seeing the midwife until 12+ weeks (I don't know exactly when, haven't even made the appt. yet - will do so after an info session on Aug. 19).
