DD had to go see the on call doctor today. I knew going into this that I didn't care for the doctor, but I figured I would give her another shot.
We get to the appointment and DD is fine, she is being a ham for the receptionist and in a good mood. We get into the exam room and when the nurse tried to take her temp she started to freak out. She just recently developed some sort of stranger anxiety. Then the doctor gets in there and DD is still freaking, she is crying like mad and trying to climb as far up onto my should as possible. Even when her head is burried into my neck, she is sobbing. I can't get her to stop, so I have to proceed to talk to the Dr over her cries. Well, the pedi interrupts me multiple times and says she cannot her me, almost in a rude, shut your kid up, way. Then throughout the appointment she plugs her ears. The part that made me the most upset was when she was trying to look at DD's leg, DD tried to reach for the Dr's hands, and she shook her hand away 2 times, like she was some big old hairy spider. It wasn't a soft move her hand out of the way motion, it was a short fast shake.
Am I over reacting? Would this bother you?

Oh yeah, multiple times!
That would definitely bother me. At the same time, I would also consider the possibility that she was just having a very bad day. Then again, it sounds like you've had a bad experience with this doctor before. In any event, I think you have the right to be upset. Whether it's worth changing pedi offices or taking any other action... not so sure. I'm sorry you had that experience, and I hope your LO is feeling better!
