Anyone use Upromise?

I got a credit card app for a card that earns your rewards that go to Upromise. I had never heard of it, but did a little research. It looks like a good idea, but I'd love to hear from anyone that's participated. Good and bad. TIA!

  • We don't have their credit card but we use their services. I registered my regular credit card, my kroger card and they gave me a little keychain card to use at publix. I scan it each time I get groceries. Most of the things they give rewards on seem to be processed/packaged foods which we don't eat much of so I only have a balance of like $5 or something. You can earn more rewards by linking to online shopping from their site but I always forget and never downloaded their little reminder toolbar thing.

  • I started an account when DD was born.  I don't have the credit card, I just have my Kroger card linked to the account so when I make purchases from participating vendors, I get credit.  I don't go out of my way to buy Upromise brands, I just buy what I normally do, based on price, quality and coupons.  Luckily, many kid-specific brands, like Gerber and Pampers, participate.  By doing nothing but my usual grocery shopping, I earn about $100 a year for DD's college fund.  So it really can't hurt to set up an account!
  • Yes, we've had an account with them for 6 years now & I have $1,200 accumulated in my acct for the kids!   I do not have the credit card, but have my cc's registered thru them as well as my grocery store cards (as does my mom & my sister, so I get credit from all of them!). Any time I am getting ready to make an on-line purchase, I check them to see if I can get credit thru UPromise.  It's really a great program!  I highly recommend it!
