So we went to the pedi Friday and got Amoxicillian. Yeah, he spent every night this weekend screaming. Took him back to the doc early this morning and the doc says that Amox has done nothing. We're now on Omnicef, which is going to destroy his bottom like it always does. UGH. I just dread it. I've bought yogurt, gotten the probiotics and stocked up on lotrimin and hydrocort. cream, but that's all I can do and I hate it for the little guy that he has to go through this again.
We pulled in the garage, and he says, "two pass, new medicine, and night night, mamma". He's been asleep since 11 and it's now 3. Praying that his sleep is a healing one.
ETA: pass = pacifiers. Oh, and did I mention that I lost my MP yesterday?? Yeah, I need to have a well child before I go into labor, thanks! It's bad enough that he's going to be away from mommy and daddy during the delivery. I cannot handle the thoughts of leaving him when he's this sick!

I know it all too well. When the doc says "10 day course" I just cry...

Do you have tubes yet?
No tubes yet. We've been EI clear since Feb (when we had 2 bad ones in a row), so I was hoping he was growing out of them. Well, guess not.
Now I'm not sure that we could handle having tubes until this new kid arrives and we get a little more settled. I'm praying this is a one-and-done kind of deal this time around. I absolutely cannot contemplate going through what we did last Jan/Feb, when he was sick for 2 months!
