XP: Product question

Hi! I am not a new mom but was wondering if anyone on here has used or received a Woombie? I am a big fan of swaddling as it worked really well for both my girls. This looks like a cool product. They even make it with legs for the car seat or stroller and then there is a convertible one where you can turn it into a sleep sack with the arms out.

I was thinking it may be a good gift for a new mom/mom to be but wanted to hear

My beautiful girls: Hadley 9.28.06, Emmerson 11.29.08 and Pilar 2.07.11, born premature at 33.3 weeks.

We got the Summer Woombie, which is a lighter and stretchier material.  I thought it'd be better for the hotter weather, and it does work in that it keeps DD's arms down and prevents her from startling herself awake.  However, it is very stretchy, so she has freedom to move her hands around inside.  If she's tired enough, she doesn't fight it.  But if we put it on her when she's alert, she tries to punch her way out.  I think if it were a firmer material, she'd give up sooner.

I think if you need something to keep your LO's hands down, go for the woombie because it works really well... but in retrospect I probably should've bought the stronger material so DD can't move around as much.

But it is a great product and it's really easy to use!!!  DD gets her hands out of every swaddling product we've tried EXCEPT the woombie!
