39 week help! Girl name clicky...

In either case, we'd call her Ellie most of the time.... feel free to tell me why or why you don't like either.  Oh, and DD1 is named Claire.

  • I voted for Eloise... for obvious reasons :)

I think of the two names, it is more unique and prettier. FWIW, we call our dd Eloise with no nickname and get a lot of compliments on it. We also get asked a lot if it's a family name.

Both names are beautiful, though. You won't go wrong with either.

  • I also like Eloise better.  Cute name.
  • How do you pronounce Eloise?

I don't care for either.  They seem old sounding.

  • Both great choices.  I love the nickname Ellie, too.

  • Oh, use Eloise :) It is SO cute, but it will grow up with her as well. It is less common than Eleanor, and it sounds less dated to me as well. I would just call her Eloise, though.
  • Eloise is much cuter and prettier name.

I think both are beautiful, but I voted for Eloise. I think it works well for both a child and an adult.

  • Eleanor is fine, but I like Eloise a lot more. It's really cute and sounds great with Claire with them being both French names. I love your DD's name btw!
  • I absolutely adore both of these names for their own reasons. They are both on my short list. There is a reason the votes are almost 50/50: you really can't go wrong with either one.

Maybe something that could help us help you make your decision would be if you told us your middle name ideas for each one or both.

That being said, I voted for Eloise. I think you should use it now while it's still #917 on the SSA list, because there is no doubt this one is on it's way up!!!
