So when did everyone start wearing maternity clothes? Or have you yet? I am still trying to wear my normal clothes, but it's getting rough. I'm just over 12 weeks and don't think I have a baby bump, but nothing fits at ALL and all of my clothes (especially pants) are crazy uncomfortable. Should I just buy bigger clothes at this point until I start showing, or make the leap into maternity fashion? Just curious about what you all have done up until now!
Re: Maternity clothes ?
I bought some stuff and the bella band..this week I started wearing maternity shorts b.c I live in FL and couldn't take it anymore. I had to buy new shirts b.c I needed ones that would cover the bands. I am wicked short and like my shirts to hit just past my waist band..keeps my tummy covered but my legs look less stumpy.
Other then that I have just been wearing summer dresses and letting the blubber fly.
I haven't bought anything really to this point, but have noticed shirts fitting more snug! I don't like to see lines where my shirts hit my wasitbands on jeans, so I really need to break down and get a bella band or something. I wear scrubs everyday for working, and they are elastic in back/ drawstring in front.. no problems there yet.
I have a few pairs of pants that are maternity because my normal pants are so uncomfortable..and maternity is SOOOOO comfy!
I'm going to a consignment shop with a big maternity section tomorrow..excited.
I also wear dresses when I can.

What are you looking at?
I'd say if you are uncomfortable, definitely get some maternity clothes. I haven't bought much yet (like pp said, I'm not sure how I'll grow) but I've bought a pair of jeans and some shorts to hold me over until I get bigger.
Try consignment stores- that way you don't spend a lot of money in case you end up needing a different size/style.
Don't fight it! Go get yourself some maternity clothes. You'll be happy you did. They are ultra comfortable, give you room to grow, and make your body look more smooth, instead of crammed inside too tight pants.
I started wearing mine at about 12 weeks. I have mostly purchased shorts and pants since my non-maternity shirts aren't really causing me any grief yet.
The Bella Band comes in hand here and there, but it is not nearly as good as maternity pants.
I've been wearing maternity pants since roughly nine weeks-not that I've gained any weight, but they're just so much more comfy. Luckily I was able to get a few really good pairs of maternity pants and bands from my twin, so I haven't had to spend much. The maternity stuff in my area is so UGLY, too.
I am using a bella band, but mostly I am getting by with some slightly bigger and elastic-waistband stuff I bought a couple of weeks ago. I'm a teacher, so I don't really want to spend a lot of money on maternity clothes until September (I'll be 20 weeks). Luckily, that means I can wear lots of casual clothes and yoga pants until then!
I did order my first maternity clothes yesterday because I got a gift certificate to destination maternity and they were having a sale. I'm REALLY looking forward to maternity jeans - I haven't worn jeans in WEEKS!
Up until yesterday I was still wearing my regular jeans and I probably could have continued for awhile, but my mom picked me up a few pairs of maternity jeans and wow - they are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn, I don't think I wanna go back to regular jeans even AFTER pregnancy! They aren't the ones with the huge piece of fabric that covers a very pregnant belly, just about a 2-inch wide strip around the waist instead of a zipper and buttons.
I really have no idea though if they will still fit when I'm 9 months pregnant or if you have to buy bigger maternity clothes as you go along, but I still think you'd get more use out of them than a bigger size of normal pants (especially since those may fit you better in the waist but nowhere else).
