Since I'm BFing and DS is not sleeping through the night at all..DH has been sleeping on the couch (which he has no trouble sleeping on) since we've come home from the hospital. This way I have DS in the bassinet in the bedroom until he begins to sleep through the night more. Just wondering if other people's SO sleeps in the bed with them when they have to get up for work. I would feel bad that both of us be woken by the baby, but maybe I'm not in the norm here. Once DS wakes up only once in the middle of the night I'm thinking of moving him to his crib so DH and I can sleep together in the bed again.
Re: Anyone's DH not sleep in the bed with them?
Both of us sleeping in our room has never been a problem. Even when DH had to be up at 6am after gonig to sleep at 2am. At first he'd wake up when he heard the baby, now he never hears her. He's used to her by now.

I was doing this until two nights ago. The dogs are angry that they've been kicked off the bed again.
We slept in separate eooms after our 2nd - I was bfing and would get up for all the night feedings. Dh would get a good night's sleep and get up with our first until he had to go to work.
It worked really well - no sense in both of us being exhausted. We're doing it again this time - and probably will until LO is in his own room - whenever he starts sleeping for 5-6 hour stretches, Some people think it's weird, but it's way better for our marriage than having us super-exhausted and cranky with each other.
