Two Week Wait

This is my first post. I want to try it out. I'm in my ttw and just going crazy. I want to go get a test but i promised myself and husband I would wait until thursday (the day I expect my period). Any advice how to pass the time? Afraid of seeing BFN but sooo anxious. Help!

Do you have any hobbies? Those help.

How do you know AF is due on Thursday? Are you charting or anything?

You just need to keep your mind on other things...keep busy. Try and remember that it might not happen this first month and prepare yourself that it might be a negative for this cycle and the next few (I'm in the same boat). I keep telling myself I'll be pleasantly surprised if I get a BFP, certainly not expecting it. Are you charting?

I agree with Kdg - you need to find hobbies you enjoy to pass the time. Especially if you're early on in TTC, you'll need to find ways to keep yourself preoccupied.

First, welcome.

Second, if you don't see a BFP this cycle, consider charting using FertilityFriend.com. It has great resources. Also, you might want to pick up the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's an excellent book.

As for passing the time, do what you usually love doing. Read, write, go for walks. It might be a great time to start a new hobby too.

Welcome. If you are not charting, you should really start. Its the best way to learn whats going on with yout body. Then you will know when AF is due or if you just ovulated late, etc. Join FF by clicking on any of our tickers. Good luck!

I've been marking down my calendar the day I start and end my period and my ovulation. I'm using OPK. Yes hobbies and activities help but it's still so hard to just sit and wait!''

Also they say once you create your screen name you can't change it. I made my screen name two years ago (baby fever!) and don't know how to change it now..

I'm not totally sure what you mean by charting. I'm using OPK and marking which days I Ovulate and the start and stop of my period. We've been trying since April.
