I picked up something from Target that was for Kids that was Deet Free - can't remember the brand, though. I'll have to check for the lemon eucalyptus - I didn't know about that.
Our doc says to use a deet spray once per day and always wash it off before bed.
Her reasoning is that they know (through years and years of use) what it does. She is not sure what other chemicals or formulas actually do, because they've not been around and in use long enough.
So, her caution is to use the time-proven deet only once on a baby that age per day. And, no matter what, wash it off before putting baby to sleep. (She's emphatic about the last bit.)
