Anyone else's LO still suffering from Acid Reflux?

DS was diagnosed with reflux when he was 8 weeks old.  We put him on special formula and started medication.  At a year old, he seemed to be 'cured' of the reflux, so we stopped the medication, and started whole milk.  For the past 3 months, he has had white spots on the back of his throat, but the strep cultures come back negative.  The pediatrician suggested we go back on Prevacid, in case its reflux.  Anyone else experience this, or something similar?

    DD hasn't been able to come off of her reflux medicine. She started zantac around 2 1/2 months old and we tried to wean her off of it around 6-7 months but she started screaming every time we'd lay her flat and was just fussier than usual. So we put her back on it and she's been doing ok. She has had some episodes of choking/vomiting and we found out that it's due to the reflux. She hasn't had that in awhile, but she definitely still has symptoms of reflux. Our pedi suggested that we switch to a stronger medication than the zantac she's on but we increased the dose of zantac and that seems to be working for now.

    DS started meds at a couple months old and we stopped when he started sitting up. Then it flared back up when he started solids, then we stopped when he became more mobile. Now at 17 months he became super super whiney and just and over all bear to be around. So he started it again about a week and a half ago and seems to be feeling better now.  At least he laughs and plays for parts of the day now instead of whines and cries all day.

    Ds has been on zantac since 1 month and does not do well when we have tried to take him off !

    DS has been on meds since 8 days old.  We have a strong family history for GI issues.  He has not been off meds since.  He's been on Zantac, Pepcid, Prilosec and now Nexium.  Sometimes he was on Zantac and Nexium at the same time.  We go back to the GI on Monday morning.  He is having symptoms again even on 20 mg of Nexium per day.  I'm not sure that they can up his meds or if we will go back to piggy backing meds. We were going to try and cut his dose in August.  Clearly that isn't going to happen.

    Yup - he got on Prevacid at 15 months when he really started table foods.  It probably stems from allergies since he tested + for dairy, egg, etc.  I never noticed spots on his throat...but he was randomly vomiting and choking on finger foods...Im hoping to try weaning him off around 2

    My son has been on meds since he was about 5 weeks old. We have tried to take him off his meds several times and it never works. Well he started getting croup all the time 3 times in 3 months so we were sent to ENT and found his reflux was behind it. He is now on prevcid 15mg 2 times a day and Axid one time a day just for his reflux. We were told he will more then likely have to be on the meds till he is at 3. He had a second scope done and they found even now he has severe reflux so it might last even longer then 3.
