This wednesday I found out at the dr. that my baby had thrush. The dr. gave us nystatin, the oral meds that she said to give to the baby 4 times a day on both sides of his mouth. And a cream for his rash and to put the cream on my nipples several times a day. I've been putting the cream on every time I pump. Most of the spots on his tounge are gone and he isn't as fussy and isn't refusing to eat anymore. And I have been boiling his nipples and pacifiers, I give him a clean pacifer every time I give him the medicine. And we use drop in's so I don't have to worry about the bottles. I'm just wondering how long until it is completely clear, and we can stop all the sanitizing and boiling and I can stop with the cream.And the pain in my breasts will go away. I'm going to give him the meds until they are gone. And what are the chances that he will get it again.

I would keep it up for a full week. Thrush is nasty in that it can be stubborn and still be there after the symptoms are gone.
