BF question....

G will be 3 months next week, and I notice that she does not breast feed for as long as she normally use to on each side...Is this normal?...She used to do at least 10 mins on each side and now I find it is like 5 or 6 minutes on each side and she is content.....Just wondering if you noticed this as well...

    I am pretty sure they get more effeicient as they get older.  5-6 minutes doesn't seem like very long though.  That's interesting.  If she is content and stops on her own I wouldn't worry about it.

    It is not seem long enough to me either, I try and keep her on longer but she does not want to..I am worried she is not getting the hind milk, but I have no clue..I even tried to have her go to eating every 3 hours rather than every 2 thinking maybe she would eat longer, but she still did the same thing...and plus I can barely get her to wait 3 hours between feedings

    If you're worried about the hindmilk, feed her off one side fot two feedings, then switch to  the other side.  She'll def be getting it then.

    Thats a good idea about feeding off of one side for two feedings... 

    I guess I am afraid I am going to start to lose my supply too....

    How long does K feed off of each side at a feeding?

    I have only fed off of the one side at a time from pretty much the beginning for this reason. Alexa has always been super efficient and it only takes her about 5 minutes to eat.

    In my experience it was normal.  And I thought it was fabulous! =)  Baby and mama get better and better at it with time.
