I wish it wasn't on a monday b/c I would totally gtg with you.
I went to the one in Puyallup a few months ago - it was pretty good but I wasn't really shopping for "gear" - just kind of wanted to see what it was all about and found some good clothes, shoes, and a musical table toy.
Some of the stuff was priced kind of high (for used clothes if you ask me...) but there was lots of stuff that were great values and Jaime says if you are close enough (I'm not) go back on the last day to see if anything good is 1/2 off.
One thing I noticed - after it was all said an done they posted pictures on FB and it looks like some of the gear is picked over even before the 1st time mom sale (must have been bought at the volunteer/consigner sale the night before).
I would say it might be nice if you can take a friend if you do want to try to get some of the bigger items and check out the floor plan before if they post it on the website. If you are particular about certain items you might have better luck looking on CL.
...speaking of that just THIS week someone posted a turquoise tripp trapp for $100. GRRRR I spent WEEKS emailing various retailers to see if they *might* have one in stock since it is a discontinued color not to mention stalking CL. BUT, I am slightly consoled b/c the CL add seemed odd - no details, chair was missing strapp, poor quality pic of chair showed it stacked in a garage. so I prob. didn't want that one anyways.
Re: sandra re: just between friends sale
thanks so much for the tips! sounds like i really shouldn't go in with many expectations, just check it out and see. and aww, I would have loved for you to go with me! There's one in Tacoma in October, which is Fri-Sun - we can see if that might work for both of us - it's closer for you too!
argh, i *hate* it when that happens! but yeah, definitely doesn't sound like one you would want anyway
at some point, i give up on the "great" deal/option and go with the "good" deal, and tell myself that i put some sort of value on my time
