Postpartum Depression

PPA: When did it stop?

DS is 19 months old and my anxiety levels are still really really high. Meds and talk therapy aren't helping and while I am functioning there are times I feel cripled by it. Anyone have it last this long?

  • I would talk to your therapist about upping your medication dosage.  I upped mine after three weeks when I wasn't feeling better and may up it again.  Talk to your dr. and explain that you're not feeling better yet and see what they can do for you!

  • I'd definitely talk to your doctor. You're always going to have anxiety - even people without anxiety issues have anxiety, but a high anxiety (especially on meds) should be brought up to your doctor. Either a dosage change or a new med sounds necessary.
