baby shoes

My LOs aren't walking yet, though they are thinking about it, so I've never put shoes on them...they just run around barefoot all the time. 

 But since walking is near, and when we start daycare next month shoes are required, where do I buy them?  What kind would you more experienced mommys recommend?  I definitely want something that is healthy for the devleopment of their feet and walking and all (so very soft soles??).
