I'm new to the forums but I used thebump to keep track of my pregnancy and I enjoyed reading the posts so I thought I would make my introduction.
I am a first time mom of a sweet baby girl, Chloe, who was born on July 1st, 2010 at 1:28 pm after a very hard induced labor and complicated delivery resulting in forceps. She was 9lbs and 14 oz, 20 3/4 inch and absolutely healthy and beautiful. I am 23 years old and just got married June 5th, 2010 so I have a lot of big life changes happening all at once.
I have never been more overwhelmed, excited, and scared in my entire life and I am just looking for some friendly people to chat with and exchange thoughts and ideas with. I am breastfeeding and that is going fairly well just exhausting. I am a stay at home mom and my husband works a very nasty shift of 2-10 so he is gone for the better half of the day. My mom has been a tremendous help the past week and a 1/2 but she goes back to work soon and I am on my own, eek. I never thought being a mom would be this hard at first, and I am hoping it will get better with time.
Re: First time mom, new here...
Congratulations on your new baby and your marriage! Breastfeeding gets easier with time. My mom made a suggestion to me that helped keep things even -- give yourself plenty of time to bond and snuggle with your baby, don't feel that you have to do everything. The first 3 months are a time for you to adjust to the needs of your new baby, and the changes in your body.
Wish you the best.

Welcome
I've read the posts almost non stop since the 2nd trimester, but didn't get around to registering until lately (thought I already had and it wouldn't let me retrieve my password lol)
Anyways, I'm a first time mom of a cute little boy, so any time you want to chat or vent I'm open to it. Have fun and good luck! Congrats on the sweet little girl
