excess sleep?

I put DS to sleep last night at his normal time (around 9:15). This morning he didnt get up until after 10:30. He had a light breakfast/snack then I gave him some warm milk at around 12 just to tide him over while I make lunch and now he's sleeping again.

Is this normal? He doesnt feel warm, but he has been making a face like he is chewing something, so I was thinking maybe he's just teething & growing? I'm unsure!

Has you child had one of those days? Is it something I should worry about or is it something that is just normal and happens every once in a while?

 TIA!

Re: excess sleep?

  • Sounds normal to me!! DS goes to be at 7 p.m. and wakes up at 8 a.m. then eats, plays and then naps around 10:30 for an hour or two. But he could be teething too?

  • We've had a few random mornings where DS will sleep 1-2 hours beyond his normal wake up time...DH and I rejoice when it happens! We only wish it happened more often and predictably so we could take advantage of it. :)
