  The worry wart in me thanks you!  My DH has rolled his eyes when I throw stuff out ON the "expiration" date.

  I think this is fantastic! 

  Too bad my DH doesn't agree.  He throws things out the second they expire.  I can understand though, he's the most sensitive person to food poisoning that I know.

  What's with all the over-worried DHs? Brian is the same way. Even if it's, like, pickles. Um, aren't pickles aged anyway? I don't get it.

  I don't get it either, my mom has always been super relaxed about this kind of stuff too.  Then again, I've never had salmonella poisoning like my DH.  That's right, verified salmonella poisoning.

  DH and I are both date-sticklers. I'm worse than he is... He'll drink milk on the day-of, I won't (like there's something magical that happens at midnight rendering it toxic).

  And while I'm looking up milk.... I'm constantly disturbed that there are people who freeze milk. Seriously, it grosses me out.
